This Spring sees the launch of two great new additions to the Mountain Equipment range; the all-new Particle Jacket and the latest addition to our Drilite® series of fabrics, Drilite ®ULTRA

Developed to deliver real comfort in nearly any outdoor situation. The new Drilite® ULTRA makes this possible by using a lightweight microporous coating that features a smooth “Dry Touch” backer on the inside. Considerably lighter than other hardshell technologies whilst at the same time delivering outstanding levels of waterproofness and moisture permeability, making this the perfect choice for summer alpine mountain exploits.

Drilite® ULTRA weighs just 81 grams per metre yet delivers a hydrostatic head of 10,000mm – a bit like having the weight of a small swimming pool on your shoulders!

Available in both men's and women's options, it has been designed to offer all the proven qualities we know are vital and you would expect in a waterproof jacket. Completely functional with all the essential features condensed into our lightest fully waterproof and breathable jacket. It weighs just 295 grams (Men's Large)

Destined to be the only choice for those days when being burdened by a hard-shell couldn’t be further from your mind. The new featherweight Drilite® Ultra fabric breathes easily even if you’re not and will keep you totally dry when the heaven’s open.

The revised Stealth hood is our lightest hood design yet. Featuring an all-new “Snorkel-Wrap” design developed specifically for the lightweight shell of the Particle Jacket. It continues to offer complete protection, it still has a reinforced wired visor and is quick and easy to adjust.

Whilst it’s weight is minimal this is no just in case jacket.

The pocket linings, yes it still has pockets even at this weight, are waterproof and fully taped. We've not scrimped; open or closed, whether you spend the day continually retrieving your map or guidebook, you are guaranteed to stay dry.

The Particle jacket offers complete protection during sudden summer storms and unpredictable mountain days condensed into one tiny package, making it the perfect option for those carrying a shell on big mountain rock routes far from home and those seemingly never ending summer days when you could bag just one more summit.

And for when the sun is shining and you would rather carry the Particle jacket than wear it, we have even gone to the trouble of developing a brand new stuff-sack. The Clip 'N Carry Stuffsack with its integrated daisy chain can be clipped to the back of a harness, stowed in bum-bag or simply admired. And with reflective detailing you'll even be able to find it in the dark!

The Particle Jacket is available in both men's and women's PLUS there is an new over-trouser to match. So good that is has already been recommended in the February issue of Trail Magazine.
