Katie-Jane has already seen and experienced so much of the fascinating

world in which we live, and yet feels she has barely scratched the surface.

She is driven to explore the wonders of the world and has often found that

when stripped of comforts and faced with hardships and adversities, the

completion of each journey becomes so much more rewarding.

Katie-Jane's travels have taken her to North and South America, Asia,

Europe, but most predominantly, Africa. Funding for her early travels 

was created through a career as a commercial model and working on 

fashion shows, photo shoots and a number of Film and TV projects

including having doubled for Cameron Diaz.

In 2006 Katie had left behind her glamorous world of modelling and made

the gigantic leap to expeditionist. Along with partner Tarka L’Herpiniere, in an incredible feat of determination, they carried out a world first expedition. Facing temperatures from -35 to +40 degrees they

trekked unsupported over 4,500km along the Great Wall of China from its most Westerly terminus to its most Easterly. 

Katie-Jane is now focused alongside Tarka L'Herpiniere on expanding their work in the field of adventure and expedition. On their next expedition entitled 'One World' Tarka and Katie-Jane will embark on an unprecedented and historic journey. Using only their own motive power, in the form of manhauling, cycling and ocean rowing, they will attempt to go beyond what is believed possible and navigate the globe on its polar axis on an epic 30,000km voyage from one geographic pole to the other.
