    Redline

Part of our Extreme Expedition sleeping bag range, the Redline is designed for extended use in polar environments and on 8,000m peaks.

Part of our Extreme Expedition sleeping bag range, the Redline is designed for extended use in polar environments and on 8,000m peaks.

Using 1282g of exceptionally high-quality minimum 800 fill power CODEX-approved European goose down and a lightweight yet durable GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® 10 denier outer fabric, the Redline keeps you warm in punishingly cold temperatures while also being highly breathable and water resistant.

Extreme Expedition bags like the Redline utlise our most complex baffle system. Through the chest and upper legs, V-shaped baffles maximise down overlap and eliminate cold bridges, while across the middle of the bag trapezoid baffles prevent down migration. Full-length baffles down each side maintain the bag’s optimised box-like structure. In the hood, a complex seven baffle system concentrates down for optimum warmth and protection over long-term use, while in the anatomically shaped footbox a six baffle system focuses warmth around your feet.

Down type and density is varied strategically through the bag to ensure it can resist compression on the underside, while allowing for maximum loft on the top. Our time-tested EXL® elasticated stitching system inside the bag minimises dead airspace, reduces drafts, and pulls the liner fabric away from the down allowing it to loft effectively for maximal warmth.

A full-length Gemini™ entry zip baffle dramatically reduces heat loss in this typically vulnerable area and the low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and collar drawcords are easy to use in the dark. An internal mesh pocket and secure zipped pocket keep essentials close to hand.

Our Extreme Expedition bags have a roomy Expedition fit for comfortable sleeping and accommodating extra down layers, while a large foot box with breathable GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® liner can accommodate boot liners and damp items.

With a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature of -45oC (-49oF) the Redline is an exceedingly warm, practical and durable sleeping bag for those travelling to the very coldest reaches of the planet.

    Temperature ratings

For our Expedition bags, we don't give Comfort, Limit or Extreme limits, as the ISO 23537 test excludes the testing of “extreme climate zone expedition” sleeping bags, or bags which have a measured limit temperature colder than -24 °C.
