    • Susanne Süßmeier

Via Graffer, Campanile Basso, Dolomites, Italy.

Susi grew up far away from the mountains in a small village near Stuttgart, where her passion for mountain sports developed through sports climbing.

For her studies in sport science, she moved to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrolean Alps. As a member of the Woman’s Expedition Team of the German Alpine Club (DAV) from 2014 to 2016, she was able to take part in an expedition to the Pamir Mountains in Tajikistan, where the girls could do some first ascends.

She enjoys all kind of mountain sports. However, her preference is for ice climbing and mixed climbing. Susi is now a certified UIAGM Mountain Guide.

Her plans for the future? “…to spend as much time as possible out in the mountains around the world, no matter for what reason – for work or simply to have a good time with my friends”.

    Rhoscolyn, Mountain Equipment Team Meet.
