Gore-Tex ePE is the biggest development from Gore in decades. A completely new membrane technology, ePE balances durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection with a reduced carbon footprint* and a fluorocarbon free construction. This is the future of Gore-Tex. 3-layer ePE has very similar performance in our lab testing to equivalent ePTFE Gore-Tex, while 2-layer ePE offers a highly packable and lightweight option for more transient or less extreme use. Both3-layer ePE and 2-layer ePE boast the Gore-Tex Guaranteed to Keep You Dry promise.
